Kylie's Chinese Medicine studies took her to the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in Nanjing, China. She completed a clinical internship at the First Affiliated Hospital in the following departments; Acupuncture, Gynaecology, Dermatology, Paediatrics, Internal Medicine, Tuina (Chinese Remedial Massage).
On completion of her official studies, Kylie studied under Traditional Chinese Gynaecologist, Steven Clavey, as well as holding a tutoring position at RMIT before opening Bendigo Chinese Medicine in 2003.
Kylie has lectured at RMIT over a number of years in the area of Chinese Herbal Medicine and is a recognised supervisor for students completing clinical hours. It is in herbal medicine that Kylie now focuses her energy and works to continue to build on her knowledge and understanding of its intricacies.
Kylie has undertaken a Diploma of Dermatology, under Mazin Al Khafaji. This has been a huge area of interest to Kylie, of which she is thrilled to have been able to increase her knowledge and understanding of skin conditions, their causes and how to treat them using Chinese Herbal Medicine. Kylie is one of only 4 Chinese Medicine practitioners in Australia to have obtained certification in this course, the first to be practising in a regional city.
Other further studies have included enhancing her acupuncture skills by studying Japanese acupuncture (Manaka Protocols) under Paul Movsessian.
